The apartment

A superb Chic rental for a visit to Paris, with its original design, and a refined decoration full of personality.

The entrance is through a corridor which leads; to the right to the two bedrooms and to the living / dining room, and on the left to the separate toilet, to the bathroom and, at on the end, to the kitchen. The overall style of this Chic rental for a visit to Paris, inspired by Scandinavia, exudes a sober opulence.

In the first double room, subtle photographs of black and white flowers surround a bold mirror with three-dimensional wooden marquetry frame. The spacious bed with its majestsic headboard is an invitation to rest. The blond and white wood tones of the night tables and frames on the walls match the contemporary design of the ensemble.

In the second double room, in almond green tones, the decoration is more eclectic but retains its dominant cozy. A reproduction of a painting by Fernando Botero adds a touch of grace and humor. In the corner, a beautiful brown marble fireplace hosts two bird statuettes.

In front of this room, the kitchen is resolutely the choice of the Scandinavian chic: thick wooden glossy countertop, square clock with rounded corners, beautiful brushed steel handles, time is at a confortable solidity.

At the end of this corridor, one accesses the living room of this Chic rental for a visit to Paris, along with its dining area. On either side of the white gray marble mantelpiece, we can admire a reproduction of a portrait of Modigliani and a large picture with beautiful gradations of blue, green and red.

The details have not been forgotten: the horizontal lines of the backs of the white metal chairs in the dining room echo the drawer shelves of the TV cabinet and the cushions sown here and there on the armchairs and the sofa, casual luxury. Above the sofa are three prints of the famous ferns in black and white by Karl Blossfeldt.

  • 1 double sofa bed (160 x 200) located in the living room;
  • 1 independent bathroom;

The neighborhood

This Chic rental for a visit to Paris is ideally located in a dynamic and trendy area. There are many bars and restaurants, as well as good shopping addresses.

For lunch, dinner or a drink in the evenings, we are spoiled for choice. The Jaja offers a revisited French cuisine menu in a very pleasant setting, at the end of a paved courtyard. La Péniche Le Marcounet offers an original concept in an unusual setting. One comes here for brunch or a concert.

Later, we invite ourselves to the Cave du 38 Riv 'to listen to jazz and enjoy cocktails. The Yono Bar has become a Parisian favorite with its cozy atmosphere, talented DJs and a complete cocktail menu.

For an original breakfast or a snack, you are welcome to stop by the Murciano bakery, a real institution of the Rue des Rosiers, which has been serving since 1909  delicious Ashkenazi and Oriental pastries.

This part of the Marais also features some pretty shops, such as Mam'zelle Swing, a genuine vintage clothing shop from the 1920s to the 1960s, in a cozy atmosphere. You will surely find your shoe size at M. Moustache: this designer brand carries beautiful shoes of quality.

Cultural attractions are also the highlight of the neighborhood of this Chic rental for a visit to Paris. The Saint Gervais church is built on the site of the oldest known building on the right bank of Paris, a basilica of the 4th century. Its construction, which began in 1494, was not completed until 1621. Inside the church, one can still see the traces of a bombardment of 1918, when a German shell exploded during the office Of Good Friday.

On Rue Geoffroy l'Asnier the new Shoah Memorial is found, inaugurated in 2005 to house the Center for Contemporary Jewish Documentation. It has preserved valuable archives that were used during trials of Nazi war criminals. Today the Memorial houses a museum and temporary exhibitions.

Finally, the Théâtre du Point Virgule is a scene renowned for having launched the career of many French comics  and welcomes every day several comedic shows.
