"Comfortable stay in this beautiful apartment and superb neighborhood near the Eiffel tower"
This Faubourg Saint-Germain Vacation rental is located on avenue de Breteuil, in the heart of chic Paris on the left bank, close to the Eiffel Tower. The elegance of this beautiful duplex apartment conforms to its prestigious address.
One enters by the lower level of our Faubourg Saint-Germain Vacation rental , through a small hall which gives on the right to the living area, reuniting the living room, a corner dining room and lastly, at the end, a double bedroom. On the left of the small hall, you will stumble in the kitchen, in row with the bathroom. On the upper level you will find the second double bedroom.
The decoration is deliberately contemporary and minimalist, without the moldings that are associated with the Parisian apartments, in order to better bring out the magnificent staircase in old wooden spiral, well emphasized. It stands out against a white background with clean lines. Throughout the apartment, one admires a beautiful wood floor in cognac with wide slats. The windows of the two rooms, the pillar and the staircase all give a feel of an industrial past.
The living room and dining area succeeds in being both convivial, thanks to two soft three-seat sofas, while sporting a sober decoration that does not fatigue the eyes. On the walls, a large fresco photo of the Eiffel Tower reminds us that it is situated very near, while a painting by Miro plays on the black lines and the forms of color that animate the white background. Exhibition posters still enliven the ensemble as well.
At the end of the living room the first double bedroom is placed and its original large mirror framed in green. A skylight allows the light to enter from the living room, to add to the brightness already provided by the large window.
To the left of the entrance, you access the kitchen, modern and lit by recessed spotlights. At the end you will find the comfortable bathroom, whose bathtub is discreetly hidden behind a wall which houses the lovely basin and its angeled mirror.
Finally, On the uperfloor of the duplex, one reaches the second, very delightful double bedroom, with its wrought iron window grille. Above the bed covered with a quilt in boutis, two metal globe light suspensions complete the distinguished minimalism of the ensemble.
This Faubourg Saint-Germain Vacation rental is composed of:
This Faubourg Saint-Germain Vacation rental is in the heart of the chic Faubourg. A few steps away, Le Grand Bistro de Breteuil is an excellent place to try Fines de Claire oysters (the restaurant's oysters have been crowned champions of Europe), Burgundy snails, scallops and homemade foie gras. Men (and women) politicians and celebrities come enjoy the deliciousness here.
On the same avenue de Breteuil, D'Estrëe offers superb hats and bags inspired by the greatest Italian gallery owners and architects: the brand cultivates a typical refinement of the district. Audacious bichromy, distinguished forms: fedoras and canopies add a touch of timeless chic.
A pleasant walk of about ten minutes brings us to the Rodin Museum, housed in the Hotel Biron, a jewel of the Parisian rockery architecture. In the garden of the museum, one will not forget to visit the famous Thinker, perhaps the most famous sculpture of the artist.
Going down the rue de Babylon, you will find a charming little public garden named after Catherine Labouré, a nun born in 1806 and canonized in 1947.
Further on the same street, go to the Coutume Café, where you can enjoy a cup of the wonderful black beverage, with delicious pancakes for breakfast. Beware, the coffee here is drunk religiously, and there is no question of spoiling the moment while working: it would not be fashionable to take out your laptop.
Not far from rue Dupin, rendez vous at the Epi Dupin restaurant that serves an environmentally-friendly cuisine in a sustainable development approach. Local and seasonal products, fish from sustainable fishing: from the most delicate dishes to the most humble vegetables, all the dishes are inventive and will satisfy your taste buds.
We could not walk by the district of this Faubourg Saint-Germain Vacation rental without mentioning Le Bon Marché on rue de Sèvres. There are of course the very popular addresses of Boulevard Haussmann, but Le Bon Marché remains a luxury address with a discreet elegance, perhaps less “tape-à-l’oeil” than the Haussmann department stores. Fashion, decoration, delicatessen with La Grande Épicerie de Paris, you will find everything you dream of and even what you did not know you needed.
To bring some little attention to a close one (or maybe to eat them secretly ...), discover the chocolate creations of La Petite Chocolatière: sculptures, mouthfuls, Christmas, Easter or Valentine's Day chocolates, there is always a sweet pleasure to discover.
Finally, we discover with delight the shop: Mori Yoshida. A Japanese tribute to the art of Parisian pastry, the shop makes genuine works of art sugared with patience and a love for detail, very Japanese.
