The neighborhood

In one of those popular etymologies of which Paris has the secret, the rue des Jeûneurs where you will find this vacation rental Paris gets its name from the deformation of “rue des Jeux-Neufs” or “ street of New Games”. Indeed, in the XVIIth century the game of boules, then very popular in France was played all along this street.

In this renovated Sentier district, the food shops have now replaced the old textile boutiques. This is the case with the Australian chef Vincent Rae who settled in the former premises of a textile workshop to create a gourmet menu and pub at Rae's.

In the evening, take your time to discover Bambou on rue des Jeûneurs, a few steps away from the apartment. An elaborate scenography stages staggered colonial objects and bamboo mats to make the most of this former factory of nearly 500m2, which has become one of the most popular Thai restaurants in the capital.

For breakfast, visit the "intelligent juice bar" just as it calls itself: We Are Juice. Indeed nothing like a fruit juice finely elaborated by a nutritionist to meet the energy needs for your day of sightseeing.

At the intersection of rue Montmartre and Rue Réaumur you will find the "l’éclair de génie" pastry shop, signed by the famous Christophe Adam. The traditional "little duchess" is rediscovered in this bakery in different tastes and textures previously uninvented.
